Partners with a Purpose

We are very blessed in this country because of what happens in rural America
— Tom Vilsack

Take some time to get to know the great folks at the Ruby Valley Healthcare Foundation beginning with our Board of Directors who worked tirelessly to help make the new Ruby Valley Hospital and Medical Center a reality. Leading the charge was President Les Gilman who, as planned, retired once the Capital Campaign was officially closed in October, 2018

Scroll on down and meet some of our generous partners and community responsible for the success of our campaign. We appreciate the financial commitment and technical expertise that helped us break ground on October 26, 2016, and celebrate our Ribbon Cutting on August 18, 2018..

each and every partner!

Each and every contribution is important to the success of our new Ruby Valley Medical Center. We especially wish to recognize those Lead Donors who set the bar high for generosity in giving -- and for encouraging and challenging others to get involved:

Pay It Forward.
Gift future generations in proportion to your gratitude.
The nature of life is that we pay forward.

"We realized that we would have to rely on support from community members, ranches, businesses, foundations, corporations, and service organizations, to help us achieve our goal, a large order for a small community."

Pay it Forward

The Board of Trustees set the Capital Campaign Goal at $2.5 M, which was to be secured within 2 years. The financial success of the campaign would qualify the hospital for a $9.5M USDA loan to build a new 29,368 sq. ft. hospital and medical center.  This would be the first time the Ruby Valley Hospital Foundation managed a Capital Campaign. Given this short time frame and goal, tremendous leadership and dedication would be required from start to finish.

  • Thanks go out to our Capital Campaign Committee: John Benedict, Dan Doornbos, Dave Marsh, Les Gilman, Dale Giem, Dr. Terry Todd, and Ken Walsh; our past and present Foundation Board of Directors; our talented consulting staff: Chase Rose/Bannack Group and Nondi Harrington and especially to our countless, tireless, unnamed volunteers.

We officially launched our Capital Campaign at a community “Kick Off” celebration on October 4, 2015. Just ten months later, on August 4, 2016 we had reached our $2.5 M goal, and on October 26, 2016 we held an official groundbreaking ceremony on the site...
